Tom's Hubcap Light is now OFF. You can turn it ON or refresh.
Tom's Hubcap Light was made in 1993 from a late 80's Chevy Corsica hubcap that I found in a parking lot near the corner of Lincoln and Oregon in Urbana, IL, a string of large clear Christmas tree lights purchased when Pharmor closed, and some duct tape.
It was first connected to the Internet on the afternoon of Saturday, September 18, 1999 when I got bored, and decided it would be easier than putting a switch on the cord.
Since there's no hubcap-cam or anything, you'll have to trust me that this actually controls a real hubcap. But, there are realistic simulated pictures and you probably wouldn't be here unless I told you about the lamp anyhow.
Coming soon: my Internet-connected beer fridge (yes, I know we were going to do that at the Meadows five years ago).
